Never say never The Best of 1995-2005…and more.
Ses thèmes souvent intimistes sont toujours fondés sur l'émotion et le ressenti et parlent à chacun d'entre nous, de l'amour unilétaral avec "Come on Louann"( "You look so good and I'm so bad/I could never brak your heart and you knew that from the start"), biblique de "Hard core" ("So they hate the apple right down the core/Adam turned Eve and he called her a whore/Hard core") et les si belles et jamais mièvres déclarations d'amour de "On Romeo street" ("And from that sacred moment when the ends of our gingers/I felt a shiver go down into the heels of my cowboy boots") ouTell me" ("Let me hear the words from your mouth to my ear/And I started to tremble when you feel so near").
Sur l'attentat du 11 septembre, il nous donne "Ground zero" ("I saw it all, I was watching my TV/I could not breathe, I could not imagine/I throught it was amovie, I throught it was a nightmare/I ran for cover, I was so angry/I wanted revenge, but that was hollow/I wanted peace and a safe tomorrow") un très beau et émouvant en duo avec le fidèle Olivier Durand.
Et pour les inconditionnels, un DVD, le premier, comprend outre une biographie, une discrographie, une galerie photos, deux clips ("A little push"et "Caught short in the long run") et surtout cinq titres live (dont un superbe "You never know you're in for") filmés lors d'un concert en Italle où l'on peut apprécier non seulement qu'Elliott Murphy et Olivier Durand forment un tandem complice mais qu'ils sont des guitaristes brillants.
Tout simplement indispensable.
A celui qui écrit : "You, the fans are truly the engine that keeps the Murphy Mystery train rolling down the tracks. I'm at your service…", nous répondons : "Hello, Mister Murphy, we are here, near you… and it is forbidden to stop the train !"
